Schmaltz’s Alt is a creamy smooth dark alt with quite the backstory. In the 1930s, one of Warren Marti’s favorite pastimes was a trip to the city dump to shoot rats. In fact, it was a common date for he and his wife-to-be, Casey. The manager of the city dump was John Schmaltz. Warren earned the nickname “Schmaltz” Marti.

Avery Brewing Tweak Bourbon Barrel-Aged Coffee Stout

Avery’s very own Parker, of the cartoon and cat loving variety, created this cult classic character back in their 17th season. Appearing in several episodes under another stage name that was deemed inappropriate, Avery’s executive producers and editors decided that a name change and further character development— a 4-month hiatus in Bourbon barrels—were necessary to satisfy the most ardent and demanding viewers.

Chimay Grand Réserve

Chimay Grand Réserve (Blue) is principally distinguished by its character of a strong beer. This is a beer whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant. Its flavour, noticed when tasting it, only accentuates the pleasant sensations perceived in the aroma , while revealing a light but pleasant touch of roasted malt. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.

Dark Horse Tres Blueberry Stout

Number three in their stout series, this stout is full-bodied and brewed with all malted barley and fresh blueberries added after fermentation. The nose is where you will begin to realize this stout is in a league of its own. Blueberry, chocolate and roasted aromas lead the way to a very pleasant drinking experience which leaves you wanting the next November to arrive sooner than last year.

Dark Horse Brewery is a brewery and tap room in Marshall, Michigan, USA. Dark Horse brews a variety of beers and beer styles, including the Crooked Tree India Pale Ale, Amber Ale, Raspberry Ale, Sapient Trip Ale, Boffo Brown Beer, and Black Bier. Several seasonal and experimental brews are also produced. Dark Horse puts out a significant amount of beer for their tank size but are still able to hand-fold and stock every six-pack produced. The brewery has won several medals at various brewing competitions.

Epic Big Bad Baptista

Big Bad Baptista is inspired by traditional Mexican coffee, Café de Olla, which is served with cinnamon and piloncillo, an unrefined sugar. The Cinnamon adds another layer of complexity and accentuates the earthy character of Mexican Coffee, but more importantly, it captures the essence of a place and its culture. As beverage geeks we wanted to pay homage to that rich tradition and offer our unique take.

Epic Brewing Company opened in Salt Lake City, Utah with six fermentation tanks giving it the flexibility to create a variety of small batch, artisanal beer. Within a few short months, Epic began earning medals for its beers domestically and internationally. The beer became a big hit with locals and out of state visitors alike and demand quickly increased. The brewery currently houses eight times its original fermentation space.

Flying Dog Family Drama Imperial Pilsner

New Belgium Brewing Honey Orange Tripel

For this recipe, New Belgium brewers drew inspiration from Belgian Golden Strong Ale, a style they love. New Belgium sought out the very best ingredients, sourcing wild honey from the African Bronze Honey Company, a member of the Fair Trade Federation and a certified B-Corp. The Seville orange peel is freshly ground 24 hours prior to the day brewed by the Old Town Spice Shop, less than one mile from their Fort Collins, Colorado brewery. In the end, they created a big, sweet and citrusy Belgian-style Tripel with thoughtfully sourced ingredients.

Summit Brewing Union Series: Russian Imperial Stout

Armed with an authentic British recipe from the 1840s, Summit Brewing Co.’s Head Brewer Damian McConn crafted Union Series 6: Imperial Russian Stout with a massive malt character from brown, black, chocolate, and heritage pale malts, plus huge amounts of Olicana and Minstrel hops — two new British varieties. Aged for six months in the fermenter, this addition to the Union Series features notes of black licorice, bitter chocolate, dark fruit, and mocha coffee, producing a full mouth feel and an assertive, dry and warming finish.
