Lakefront Brewery Maibock Returns with New Packaging

Lakefront Brewery out of Milwaukee, WI has released the latest offering in their seasonal lineup with a fresh new look. Lakefront Maibock is a German-style lager pouring a brilliant blonde-gold with a white fluffy head. Biscuit and honey aromas from Vienna and Munich malts blend with herbal and spicy notes from Mount Hood and Czech Saaz hops. The medium body yields a robust malty-sweetness, while a mild, balanced hoppiness leads into the crisp finish.

ABV: 6.8%
IBU: 19
Malts: German Pilsner, Vienna, Munich, Caramel Malt
Hops: MT. Hood, Czech Saaz.

The new packaging was designed by Boelter + Lincoln based out of Milwaukee, Wi.

“A maibock is usually lighter in color than a bock, so we were going with a light vs. dark, good vs. evil play on the billy goat. The billy goat is a common visual for bock and maibock beers. Knowing the history of where that came from, we wanted to poke fun at that. Maibocks usually are seasonal beers which come out in spring. Spring is also usually the light at the end of the tunnel for people going through long winters. Again, the play on light (spring) vs. dark (winter). We went with a color palette that related to the spring vibe. You can also see the B in the lettering of Maibock forms a billy goat horn.” – Boelter + Lincoln
